Our dedicated staff members are here to support our clients as they rebuild their lives and take control of their futures. Our entire staff receives training to ensure gender-specific, trauma-aware, informed, and responsive care to our clients.

Loree Tamayo

Founder

Yesterday’s Gone is founded by Loree Tamayo, fellow abuse survivor. Ms. Tamayo’s faith in Jesus Christ is what she attributes to her healing and allowed her to create this organization. Yesterday’s Gone does not push religious beliefs on any of its guests, however we acknowledge Christ on our property and His role in creating new lives.

Yoko Ochoa

Life Coach

Yoko Ochoa is also a fellow abuse survivor who attributes Jesus Christ for her healing. Yoko wants to pay it forward by sharing her struggles and healing with others. She helps guests navigate local resources to acquire the services they need to be independent. She meets with guests weekly to encourage obtainable goals to achieve job readiness and emotional healing.

Angela Grill

Director of Community Engagement

Angela is originally from White Bear Lake, MN, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. While in college, she volunteered at two local nonprofits in her free time. After graduation, she moved to Key West, FL, and worked as a Project Manager at a local digital marketing agency. While living in Key West, she volunteered at the local animal shelter every weekend. After spending a few years in Key West, she moved to Austin, TX, and found Yesterday’s Gone. “Working for a nonprofit is truly the best job I could have asked for. Every day feels like I’m truly helping my local community, and I can’t wait to see us grow!”

Janet Yergler – Volunteer

Volunteer Coordinator

Janet is a mother of 2 girls, grandmother of four beautiful grandchildren, retired elementary school teacher of 20 years, and is happily volunteering at RockPointe Church and Yesterday’s Gone. Janet is a child of God with a heart for serving her Savior and others in need. Janet is a Certified Peer Support Provider with the Amputee Coalition, as an Amputee herself, she helps others in the community coping with limb loss.
